For Personal Christian Life Coaching CO Residents Do Not Have To Look Far

By Sharon Carter

Modern life is not easy and nobody needs to be told this. It is especially difficult for devoutly religious individuals and Christians, amongst others, are struggling to reconcile the demands of modern life with their belief systems. For them, there can be no compromise of their faith but they still want to succeed in this increasingly worldly environment. But with Christian life coaching CO citizens find that they can achieve some balance between the many demands made upon them.

When Christian consider some form of professional help, they often have to weigh up the benefits offered by counselling, therapy from a psychologist, pastoral assistance or coaches that specialize in matters important to Christians. Many find themselves unwilling to submit to psychological counselling or therapy that is based on science, not biblical principles and that is often the reason why they rather choose a coach with a definite biblical approach.

These coaches use the Bible as their handbook. They firmly believe that their clients will find answers to all their worries and problems in this sacred text. This book, they believe, is the only source of true inspiration and advice and that their clients do not need any other resources to find their answers. The lives of all Christians, whether they believe it or not, is governed by the absolute truths contained in the scriptures.

Modern coaches, even when they use the principles of Christianity as their approach nevertheless use modern methods to help their clients to progress. They are, after all, coaches and they have to achieve results. To this end they may teach their clients how to set goals, how to formulate action plans and how to measure their progress in achieving the goals that they have set for themselves.

It is not easy to choose a suitable coach. Christianity is not a single congregation. It consist of many factions with many different doctrines, beliefs and rituals. It would do no good to choose someone that does not fit in with the specific beliefs of the client. In addition, it is also vital to stay away from fanatics that sell their services as coaches but that are nothing more than missionaries for their own particular brand of faith.

It would be very unreasonable to expect a coach to perform miracles and to produce answers and solutions. That is not what their role is. Their role is to act as guides, to help their clients to explore possible solutions to their questions and problems and to find ways in which to change their own lives in a meaningful and fulfilling manner. The role of the coach is to act as guide and advisor, not as a pastor.

Of course there are those that criticize coaches that use Christianity as their approach. They say that these coaches are charlatans, not qualified to interpret the scriptures. Clients that need such an approach need to rather consult with a qualified and experienced pastor, minister or priest and that they should be careful of being manipulated by coaches that profess to be Christians but that are nothing but false prophets.

It is certainly difficult for devout Christians to be successful in this modern world. They use coaches because they not only want to succeed in their careers, but they also want to grow in a spiritual manner. Their coaches are like guides to them and they benefit from the continuous encouragement that the coach provides.
